For the first time, the capital will host the Puebla Cumbia Fest, which aims to strengthen its cultural identity through music. This event will feature local, national, and international artists.
With the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Association of United Musicians will hold the event, which will get the people of Puebla dancing. HERE we tell you all the details.
In this regard, Emilio Herrera, Undersecretary of Culture, noted that music is a way for people to create a sense of belonging and a form of expression, and therefore should be promoted.
“This is a cultural initiative that, together with the Association of United Musicians of Puebla, seeks to celebrate the musical identity of our state, consolidate Puebla as the capital of cumbia sound, and generate a social and tourism impact,” he declared.
When and where will the Puebla Cumbia Fest 2025 be?
The Puebla Cumbia Fest will take place next Sunday, June 15th, at Paseo Bravo, located at 3 Constitución de 1917 Street, Downtown, in the state capital.
Puebla Cumbia Fest Hours and Admission Prices
Paseo Bravo will become a dance floor where all fans of this musical genre can enjoy the music from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Admission is completely FREE.

For his part, Julián Tapia emphasized that cumbia is a musical genre with a strong presence in Puebla, which is why the state has become a benchmark within the genre.
He noted that currently, cumbia poblana is one of the most in-demand tracks in digital music stores, a success that the festival seeks to continue promoting through its organization.
“Talking about cumbia is talking about Puebla and a cumbia that is fully sonidera. Many of us have a hard time understanding cumbia poblana, but looking at the digital version makes us realize the importance of cumbia poblana,” he expressed.
