Puebla government will pay for one year the rent of deported migrants

The Puebla government will pay the rent for one year for migrants who are deported from the United States, announced Alejandro Armenta Mier.

This is in response to the announcement by United States authorities to begin a mass deportation of illegal migrants, especially those with criminal records.

It is still unknown how many beneficiaries there will be with the program in which the Puebla government will pay the rent of deported migrants. Alejandro Armenta asserted that for this, more information is needed on the actions of the Trump government.

Regarding the housing that migrants could use, Alejandro Armenta commented that they are analyzing how many they could use from Infonavit or other programs.

In addition to the rent, the government will give employment to deported migrants. The state leader estimated the existence of three thousand spaces, both in the private and public sphere.

On the other hand, he also announced that he will have a meeting with the staff of the Casas Pueblas so that they can defend the people of Puebla in the United States.

Governor to inaugurate Violet Houses in Puebla and Acatlán
The governor of Puebla announced that he will inaugurate two Violet Houses next Monday. These will help prevent femicides in the state.

Alejandro Armenta specified that the first two houses will be in Puebla and Acatlán de Osorio. In general, they will try to rent spaces or have the city councils lend properties so as not to invest in building spaces.

The idea is for the state government to invest in equipping the spaces and paying the personnel in the service of women, said the governor.

In Puebla, the Gender Violence Alert against Women remains active due to the aggressions they face.

This while the murders of women with extreme cruelty were positioned as the second most frequent atrocity in Puebla in 2024. This according to the organization Causa en Común.

90 million pesos will be allocated to road infrastructure
The governor of Puebla reported that they will allocate 90 million pesos to road infrastructure in the Tecamachalco and Mixteca area.

Armenta Mier explained that this investment will only be for the first stage of actions that will be carried out in the area.

The state leader commented that some of the places that would benefit are Tecamachalco, Tepeji, Acatlán, Izúcar de Matamoros, among others.
