At the end of the first two months of 2024, Puebla capital will have two new shopping centers, revealed Andrés de la Luz Espinosa, director of ACECOP.
In an interview, he shared that the first will be Riona High Plaza and will be located on Vía Atlixcáyotl. While the second will be the DownTown Puebla Shopping Center, which is built in La Vista in Angelópolis.
Two new shopping centers are planned, Riona in Atlixcáyotl and DownTown in Angelópolis for the first two months of 2024,” he said.
According to Andrés de la Luz, the two new shopping centers will generate two thousand permanent jobs in Puebla. As well as an investment of more than one billion pesos in this area of the state.
Regarding new projects for the state, the director of the Association of Shopping Centers said that it will be the investors themselves who will announce them.
However, he assured that in Puebla there are conditions to invest and develop new businesses.
It is worth mentioning that, in the case of DownTown, its opening was scheduled for March of this year. But the date was postponed until the first two months of 2024.
This new space has more than 25 thousand square meters of establishments, one of these is Walmart Super Center, which will cover 9 thousand square meters.
It will also have 12 movie theaters, four VIP and eight normal, as well as a gym and an underground parking lot with capacity for 770 vehicles.
Shopping Centers ensure coordination between municipalities to maintain security
The director of ACECOP, Andrés de la Luz, highlighted the existence of coordination between municipalities to promote security in commercial spaces.
He assured that currently the Association of Shopping Centers in Puebla maintains constant communication with the three levels of government. From the municipality, State and Federation, through the National Guard and the Army.
In this sense, he pointed out that unlike in past years, now other municipalities have joined this strategy in which they are: Amozoc, Cuautlancingo, Puebla capital, San Andrés Cholula and Santa Clara Ocoyucan.
We are in constant communication with the three levels of government, it is the first time that all municipalities from Amozoc to Cuautlancingo participate in this operation.”
