During the initial half of the year, the state recorded over five thousand reports of this nature.
The official statistics indicate that these emergency calls encompass a wide range of gender-based offenses and infractions. The most prominent reports involve complaints of family violence and intimate partner violence, alongside specific incidents of sexual abuse, harassment, stalking, and rape.
Local civil society organizations and security analysts emphasize that while these high figures may partially reflect an increased willingness among victims to utilize emergency lines for assistance, they primarily underscore the deep-rooted persistence of gender-based violence throughout the region. Consequently, advocates and community groups continue to demand strengthened prevention protocols, more responsive immediate intervention strategies, and improved administration of justice across all 217 municipalities within the state.
