A 12-year-old boy will be tried as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of Argentine Natalia Andrade, a former official in Antonio Gali Fayad’s government. She was found dead on March 2 inside her home in the Querétaro cluster of Lomas de Angelópolis.
This Wednesday, the minor appeared before the Specialized Court for Adolescents, accompanied by his guardian and a lawyer, to answer the charge of intentional homicide, which could be reclassified as femicide.
According to unofficial reports, it is presumed that the boy, who lives in the same cluster, entered Andrade’s home on a dare from his schoolmates to record her, but when he was caught inside, he murdered the woman. Neighbors report that the alleged perpetrator of this crime, named Alex, was captured wearing a ski mask by both surveillance cameras in neighboring homes and those installed inside the home of Andrade herself, who is the aunt of Valentina Zenere, an Argentine actress from the series “Elite.”
The Instituto Oriente, the private Jesuit school where the boy is enrolled, issued a statement giving its position on this case without elaborating or providing specific details about what happened.
“We reiterate our commitment to transparency and collaborative solidarity at all times and, in any case, with the authorities that require it,” the school states.
“…we will not issue prejudgments at any time, but we maintain our position of not tolerating any improper or illegal act,” adds the statement delivered to the parents.
Due to his age, the minor will be held in the Adolescent Detention Center (CIEPA), where he will undergo rehabilitation.
Natalia Andrade, who had a degree in Political Science and worked in Public Relations during the Antonio Gali Fayad administration, was found dead inside her home by a friend who came looking for her because she was scheduled to appear that day at a hearing regarding the custody of her 11-year-old son. The cluster’s security guard informed her that the Argentine woman had not left her home for several days.
