From January 1 to November 21 of this year, Puebla registered 4,399 accumulated cases of dengue, which are distributed in 80 municipalities.
The head of the agency, Araceli Soria Córdoba, explained that the endemic areas with the highest incidence are Tehuacán, Izúcar de Matamoros, Xicotepec, Huaquechula and Coxcatlán, which account for 59.9 percent of all cases.
She added that, in the last 24 hours, there were 10 new infections, six people hospitalized, and no recent deaths from this disease.
Given this situation, Soria Córdoba reiterated the call to the population to join the community strategy by cleaning patios, roofs and avoiding accumulations of water that promote the reproduction of the transmitting mosquito.
