The relic of Saint Jude Thaddeus will be in Puebla for several days

The relic of Saint Jude Thaddeus will be in the state of Puebla for two more days, as it will not only visit Tehuacán, Yehualtepec and Puebla, but now also Izúcar de Matamoros and Libres, reported Archbishop Víctor Sánchez Espinosa. Therefore, now the religious vestige will be in the territory of Puebla for seven days.

During the Sunday mass in the cathedral, the leader of the Catholic flock confirmed that the bone remains of one of the arms of Saint Jude Thaddeus may remain in the state for longer, since the Mexican Episcopate authorized it.

Therefore, the relic of the first apostle will go on August 30 to the former convent of Santo Domingo de Guzmán from the 16th century located in the municipality of Izúcar de Matamoros, which was already opened after the 2017 earthquake caused serious damage.

While on August 31 it will be taken to the eastern part of the state, precisely in the district of Libres and after this, the relic will be taken to the archdiocese of Xalapa, but before that it will go to Perote.

Given this, Sánchez Espinosa invited the faithful believers to visit the religious vestige, since it is the first time that it is in Mexico.

“They granted us two more days that it will be with us (the relic), one day for it to go to the southern area to Izúcar de Matamoros where that beautiful convent from the 16th century has just been opened and which was collapsed by the earthquake of 2017 and almost seven years later it has been reopened for worship, it is a Dominican convent and another day it will be in Libres for the entire eastern area because from Puebla they will go to the archdiocese of Xalapa,” he said.

The skeletal remains of the arm of Saint Jude Thaddeus will arrive in Tehuacan on August 23 and will be displayed in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and the parish of Our Lady of Carmen. On August 24, it will be taken to the parish of Saint Simon and Saint Jude Thaddeus, in Yehualtepec.

Later, from Tuesday August 27 to Thursday August 29, citizens will be able to observe the religious vestige in the Altar of the Kings of the cathedral of Puebla from 9:30 to 11:45 in the morning and from 12:45 to 6:45 in the afternoon. And now on August 30 and 31, it will be in Izúcar de Matamoros and Libres.
