More than 19 tons of carnitas, 1,700 liters of green sauce, 1,300 liters of red sauce, a ton of pork rinds and 40 exhibitors will be present at the 2024 Carnitas Fair.
Carlos Huerta, director of Tourism of the Puebla City Council, announced this Wednesday said event, which will take place from August 1 to 4 in the plaza of the auxiliary board of San Francisco Totimehuacan from 12:00 to 23:00 hours.
The Puebla official reported that they expect the arrival of more than 150 thousand visitors, “whose main objective is to reactivate the economy with the consumption of 19 tons of carnitas, 1,700 liters of green sauce, 1,300 of red sauce, a ton of pork rinds and a 15-meter megataco.”
He added that attendees will also enjoy the various artistic and cultural presentations that will also be part of this great event, which will begin on August 1st with an opening event at 12:00 noon, which will be attended by the governor of Puebla, Sergio Salomón Céspedes Peregrina.
It will be on Thursday when the exhibitors begin to prepare the largest taco in Puebla filled with carnitas and leather, the event will be enlivened by Mariachi de Mi Tierra and Somos Marios.
While on Friday, August 2nd, AK-Lor Sonidero, the group Imperio Latino and Sensación Sabrosa will perform; on Saturday, August 3rd, there will be a presentation of folkloric ballet and the groups La Fama de Rosete, Son de Samba, Grupo Horus and MC Tropical.
The activity will conclude on Sunday, August 4th, where Los Cadetes de Linares, the group La Misma Calle, Lino López and Segundos Colectivos and the Escuela de Canto Tradicional will be present.
