According to monitoring by state authorities, the volcano’s activity remained stable during the early hours of Wednesday.
Additionally, the National Center for Disaster Prevention (CENAPRED) explained that 22 exhalations accompanied by water vapor, volcanic gases, and ash were detected in the last 24 hours. A minute of low-amplitude tremor was also recorded.
At the time of this report, a constant emission of water vapor and volcanic gases is observed drifting southwest.
CENAPRED urged the public not to attempt to climb the volcano, as explosions ejecting incandescent fragments, as has been seen recently, are occurring.
Furthermore, the 12-kilometer exclusion zone around the crater must be respected; being within this zone is unsafe.
In case of heavy rains, stay away from the bottoms of ravines due to the danger of mud and debris flows.
