Agricultural producers demonstrated on the stretch between Amozoc and Tecamachalco, causing a long line of cars stuck in traffic.
The protesters are demanding that the federal SAT (Tax Administration Service) return their agricultural taxes (IEPS) and provide fiscal support so they can develop their production.
They are also demanding that Hilda Reyes, the auditor of the Puebla North SAT (Tax Administration Service), be dismissed for alleged irregularities affecting the agricultural sector.
Due to the demonstration that blocked the Puebla-Orizaba Highway, authorities from the National Guard, the Ministry of Public Security, and the State Ministry of the Interior secured the area and engaged in dialogue with those present.

Residents of San Miguel Xoxtla called for a march against the shortage and illegal sale of water in the municipality this May 13 on the Mexico-Puebla Highway.
A road closure is planned at the entrance to San Miguel Xoxtla starting at noon to demonstrate their discontent with the alleged sale of water.
Those accused accuse the Mayor of Xoxtla, Guadalupe Ortiz Pérez, of allegedly wanting to sell the water belonging to the municipality and are urgently calling on the Puebla government to heed their request and investigate the case.
The residents of Xoxtla are requesting the support of the authorities; otherwise, this decision could harm thousands of residents in the region.
The National Guard is in the designated area to prevent disturbances due to the demonstration the residents have called to attend.
It is recommended that you take alternate routes to avoid any setbacks on your way to your destination.
