The bodies of a mother and her daughters were found in Puebla; they had been kidnapped by an armed group.

Three women (a mother and her daughters) who were kidnapped in the municipality of Cuyoaco, Puebla, were found dead in an advanced state of decomposition in the municipality of Ixtacamaxtitlán early Monday morning, March 23, on the border with Tlaxcala.

The discovery was made in the community of Cristalaco, within the municipality of Ixtacamaxtitlán, where the bodies of the three women were found in an advanced state of decomposition.

According to initial investigations, the bodies belong to a mother and her two daughters, who were kidnapped on March 4 in Cuyoaco.

Following their disappearance, the Alba Protocol was activated, and missing person bulletins were issued for Félix Bentura Martínez, 42, and his daughters, Yeraldin Cuéllar Bentura, 9, and Johana María Cuéllar Bentura, 20.

Official reports include statements from the husband and father of the victims, who indicated that on March 4, an armed group entered his home, located in the town of Guadalupe Victoria in Cuyoaco, and abducted the victims and a one-year-old child.

The child was found hours later, safe and sound, abandoned on a dirt road in the region. No further news was received regarding the whereabouts of the three women, nor was any ransom demanded, ruling out kidnapping as a motive.

The bodies were found on land located next to the road to La Caldera in Cristalaco. Authorities in both Puebla and Altzayanca, Tlaxcala, were notified, as the location is on the border between the two states.

Due to the condition of the bodies, it was not possible to determine what type of injuries caused their deaths; however, the results of the autopsy and the investigations by the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Puebla are awaited to clarify this triple femicide.
