In a luxurious hotel in Puebla, the delegate of Welfare in the state, Natalia Suárez del Real, celebrated her birthday in the style of “The Great Gatsby”, as she was captured serving champagne in dozens of glasses.

Delegate responds

After the controversy, which resurfaced on social networks yesterday, Natalia Suárez del Real published a statement on her official accounts.

In the message, the delegate acknowledged that the celebration was not “congruent with the principles of austerity.” He pointed out that the celebration was organized by friends and family, who covered “their own expenses.”

“The celebration of my birthday was a strictly private event, organized by family and close people as a sign of affection, in which each attendee covered their own expenses and that at no time had the intention of offending, generating annoyance, or contravening the principles that guide my work. However, I recognize that the public perception is valid and deserves all my respect and attention,” he said.

To conclude, he said: “I reaffirm my willingness to continue working with responsibility, honesty, and adherence to the values of the Fourth Transformation.”
