Transporters warn about fake patrols on the Puebla-Orizaba highway. Caution!

Motorists and truck drivers are warning of the presence of a suspected fake patrol car traveling on the Puebla-Orizaba Highway, which is supposedly stopping truck drivers and, after getting them out of their vehicles, begins shooting.

Last night, drivers traveling on the highway reported that, near the Amozoc toll booth, they identified a vehicle with flashing lights that appeared to be an official vehicle.

However, suspicion arose later when they noticed it was a dark gray Jetta Bicentenario, from which individuals got out and pulled a truck driver out of his vehicle, who was heading toward Tepeaca.

“Be careful, friends, if you’re traveling on the highway near the Amozoc toll booth. A guy dressed as a police officer just got a truck driver out, and we were hit by a bullet that, luckily, only hit my truck,” one motorist recounted.

Some private vehicle drivers point out that, in addition to truck drivers, they could also be targets of these individuals, who appear to be pretending to be police officers and could be criminals engaged in highway robbery.

Therefore, they are requesting increased surveillance in the area and seeking to warn other drivers to drive with caution to avoid falling victim to these fake officers.
