Closure of the Mexico-Puebla highway announced

Federal Roads and Bridges of Mexico (Capufe) reports that work will be carried out on the Mexico-Puebla highway, which will result in total closures on this road, so it recommends that motorists who plan to travel through the area take precautions.

The agency detailed through its 𝕏 account that the work will consist of releveling with hot asphalt at kilometer 101 of the Mexico – Puebla Highway, the airport incorporation area.

When will the Mexico-Puebla Highway be closed?

“It is reported that there will be releveling work with hot asphalt at kilometer 101 of the Mexico – Puebla Highway, the airport incorporation area. These tasks will be carried out on Monday, October 7, 2024, and will cause a total closure from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m..”

Capufe recommended that drivers take alternate routes during the duration of the work, as well as plan their travel times.

The Mexico-Puebla highway was inaugurated on May 5, 1962 as part of the commemoration of the Battle of Puebla. The work was delivered by the then president of Mexico, Adolfo López Mateos.
